Return Policy

1. Overview

At Vendise, we want you to be satisfied with your purchases. This Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returning products purchased through the Vendise marketplace. As a multi-vendor platform, returns are coordinated between you (the Buyer), the Seller, and Vendise.

All marketplace purchases are eligible for return within 30 calendar days of the order date, unless otherwise noted. This policy applies to all products purchased through the Platform, subject to the eligibility requirements and exclusions outlined below.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The order must have been placed within the last 30 calendar days
  • The order status must be "Paid" or "Delivered"
  • No existing return request must be active for the same order
  • The product must be in its original condition, unworn (except for trying on), unwashed, and with all original tags attached
  • The product must be returned in its original packaging, if applicable

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally not eligible for return:

  • Items marked as "Final Sale" at the time of purchase
  • Intimate apparel and hygiene-sensitive items (e.g., hijab pins, undergarments) for health and safety reasons
  • Custom or personalized items that have been altered to your specifications
  • Items that show signs of wear, washing, damage caused by the Buyer, or alteration
  • Gift cards and digital products
  • Items returned without original packaging or tags, where required

Individual Sellers may have additional return restrictions for specific products. These restrictions will be noted on the product listing page.

4. How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Your Orders: Go to your account and select "Orders" from the navigation menu
  2. Select the Order: Find the order containing the item(s) you wish to return and open the order details
  3. Submit a Return Request: Click the "Request Return" button and complete the return form, which requires:
    • Selecting the product(s) you wish to return
    • Choosing a return reason for each product
    • Providing a detailed message explaining the reason for the return
    • Uploading photo evidence of the issue (recommended, especially for defective or damaged items)
  4. Wait for Seller Review: The Seller will review your return request and approve or decline it

5. Return Reasons

When submitting a return request, you may select from the following reasons:

  • Defective / Damaged: The product arrived in a defective or damaged condition
  • Wrong Item Received: You received a different product than what you ordered
  • Wrong Size: The product does not match the size you selected or the size chart provided
  • Not As Described: The product differs significantly from its listing description, images, or specifications

Please provide as much detail as possible in your return message, including any relevant photos, to help the Seller process your request efficiently.

6. Return Process and Timeline

Once you submit a return request, it will progress through the following statuses:

  1. Return Pending: Your return request has been submitted and is awaiting Seller review. Sellers are expected to respond within 5 business days.
  2. Return Approved: The Seller has approved your return request. You will receive instructions on how to ship the item back to the Seller. Please ship the item within 7 business days of approval.
  3. Return Rejected: The Seller has declined your return request. The reason for rejection will be provided. If you disagree with the decision, you may contact Vendise support at admin@vendise.com for further assistance.
  4. Return Completed: The Seller has received the returned item and confirmed its condition. Your refund will be initiated.

7. Refunds

Once a return is completed and the Seller confirms receipt of the returned item:

  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method through Stripe
  • Refund processing typically takes 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution
  • The refund amount includes the product price and any applicable taxes
  • Original shipping costs are generally non-refundable, except in cases where the return is due to a Seller error (wrong item, defective product)
  • If a coupon or discount was applied to the original order, the refund will reflect the actual amount paid

8. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers on the Vendise marketplace are expected to:

  • Review and respond to return requests within 5 business days
  • Provide clear and fair reasons when declining a return request
  • Process approved returns promptly upon receipt of the returned item
  • Communicate with Buyers throughout the return process
  • Comply with all applicable consumer protection laws regarding returns and refunds

Sellers who consistently fail to process returns in a timely manner or who unreasonably reject valid return requests may be subject to account review and potential penalties by Vendise.

9. Exchanges

Vendise does not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different size, color, or product, we recommend initiating a return for the original item and placing a new order for the desired item. This ensures that you receive the correct product as quickly as possible and that inventory is accurately maintained.

10. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item that is damaged during shipping or is defective, please submit a return request as soon as possible with the reason "Defective / Damaged." We recommend:

  • Taking photos of the damaged item and packaging immediately upon receipt
  • Uploading these photos as evidence when submitting your return request
  • Keeping the original packaging materials until the return is resolved

Returns for damaged or defective items are prioritized, and Sellers are expected to process these returns promptly. In cases where the item arrived damaged due to shipping, the return shipping costs will be covered by the Seller.
